Q:
How come I connect and then get immediately logged off?
A.
This is most commonly caused by having the "Request LCP
extentions" option turned on. This seems to be a problem with
mostly NT 4.0, but it can happen in NT 3.51. In Windows NT 3.51
you can turn this off by going to your RAS phonebook, highlighting
your NCdial entry and clicking on edit. Click on
"Advanced" and then on "Network". You will see
the LCP check box there. To disable it with NT 4.0, open up
Dial-up Networking and then select NCdial and click on
"More" and "Edit entry and modem properties"
The LCP check box is under the "Server" tab. You should
also make sure that the "Accept any authentication"
button is selected under the "Security" tab.
